Isla and Chris knew that an outdoor wedding set against the calm lake of their family-owned cabin in Pickerel, WI was the perfect location to exchange their vows. The place holds a special place in their hearts. This private cabin by the woods was the venue for most of their family reunions and special occasions. It has also been the couple’s home for three months where they made so many memories together. The groom’s parents put so much love into building the place and the couple wanted the place to be extra meaningful by having their wedding there.
The combination of the airy and rustic vibe of the ceremony and reception was welcoming. It was like being home away from home. The pastel-colored flowers sit perfectly against the wooden table. Nature was in highlight – trees, natural flowers, wooden tables, chairs, and string lights around the place gave its magical, dreamy charm. The couple gave so much thought to how they wanted their guest to feel.
It was also fun getting the shot of the couple with their bridesmaid, in their slate blue dresses, and groomsmen. From serious poses down to their funny faces, the photography session was filled with laughter and jokes. The guests are not only treated to sumptuous food prepared by Chef Scotty selected by the couple but also drinks were in the house! Ice-cooled drinks were on a boat, adding some unique touches to their wedding. Making it also extra special was the wedding carrot cake, personally baked by the groom’s mom.
As Isla walked down the aisle with the song “Simply the Best” playing in the background, close family and friends looked with pride and joy. Chris, in his Ticknors blue suit, was fighting off his tears as his stunning bride walked towards him. Isla looks gorgeous in her white off-shoulder gown with natural-looking makeup by V Beauty House.
The guests, in their wedding slippers already, enjoyed themselves as the DJ started playing out some party songs. Isla and Chris’ wedding was remarkable – intimate yet fun and vibrant at the same time. Thankful that our team was part of this special event.
