Wausau's wedding landscape is defined by the river, the mountain, and the downtown corridor. We've photographed weddings across every season here — winter ceremonies at Jefferson Street Inn, garden weddings at Yawkey House Museum, fall celebrations at Rothschild Pavilion — and we bring that institutional knowledge to every new couple.

Central Wisconsin doesn't have the brand-name resort properties of Lake Geneva or Kohler — but the venues here have character, warmth, and photographic personality that rivals anything in the state. We've learned every angle of these spaces across hundreds of weddings.

James Stokes & Co. was built in Central Wisconsin. We've photographed more weddings in this market than any other — from Wausau to Stevens Point to Marshfield. We know the coordinators. We know the clergy. We know how the light hits the Jefferson Street Inn ballroom at 4pm in December versus 7pm in June.
That kind of knowledge only comes from years. We shoot prime lenses, work in natural light, and build timelines that account for the realities of Central Wisconsin venues — including driving distance between church and reception.
